All Set for Milo 35th Marathon Rain or Shine!

This is my first time to join Milo Marathon and my 4th running event this year (3 21K and a 10K). I’m really excited for tomorrow since there will be a strict cut off time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, it’ll be a test if I can finish on time despite my weight gain of 3 kgs and lack of preparation due to nonstop rainfall.

Since there’s a great possibility of raining tomorrow, I decided to buy a cap to protect my eyes. My first experience of running under heavy rain was at the Rock and Run last year. I enjoyed running under the rain but from my experience it’s better to wear a cap or a visor to protect the eyes from rain drops. Good thing is there are baggage counters for 10K, 21K and 42K runners, I can bring extra clothes tomorrow.

Here’s the list of things I’ll bring for tomorrow’s run:

  • Hydration belt
  • Energy drink
  • Energy gels
  • Cap
  • Ultraportable Phone
  • Money
  • Plastic (to put in my phone and money in case of rain)

I don’t think I’ll bring a camera tomorrow (or my huge camera phone) since I want to concentrate on running and I don’t want to leave valuables in the baggage area.

Good luck to all the runners at the 35th Milo Marathon tomorrow! For more info and reminders go to this link.

Eyeglasses for Function or Fashion?

There are only 2 reasons for wearing eyeglasses, either you really need it or you wear it to look good. Sunglasses are mostly used for fashion but others use it for protection against UV rays or to conceal something. Prescription glasses are made by ophthalmologists for better vision and correction of visual disorders, but they can be made fashionable enough to complement the look of a person wearing it. You can also find stylish eyeglasses that serve more as an accessory for a person using it. You can find these in different shapes and colors, mostly used by teenagers.

Finding the perfect eyeglasses for you is simple, just ask yourself why you need it and for what you’ll be using it for. You can start searching online eyeglasses that will fit your needs. For me, I’ll choose something that is both useful and fashionable. Be careful in choosing; remember that one size does not fit all when it comes to eye wear.

If you’re annoyed of the new Facebook chat, the reason may be because you can’t see all your online friends. You can’t fix or revert to the old Facebook chat but there’s a solution on how to see all your online Facebook friends.

When you are logged in your FB account, open a new tab and go to this link: http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php

That’s it! It’s even better than the old Facebook Chat.:)

Change Your Blogger's (Blogspot) Favicon

What is a favicon? A favicon (short for favorites icon), also known as a website icon, shortcut icon, url icon, or bookmark icon is a 16×16, 32×32 or 64×64 pixel square icon associated with a particular website or webpage. Having your own unique favicon adds a more professional look to your site.

Changing of favicon in Blogspot used to be complicated. I used to edit my blog’s HTML and copy a code from a certain site just to change the icon. But it seems like Blogspot simplified the process recently (I don’t know exactly since when) by actually allowing users to simply change their site’s favicon with a few click of buttons.

Here’s how to change your Favicon:

  • Create or download your icon and save to PC.
  • Go to your Blogger’s dashboard.
  • Click Design Tab
  • In the Page Elements tab, you’ll see the Edit Favicon on the upper right portion, just under the Add and Arrange Page Elements. Press Edit.
  • Press browse to upload your Favicon.
  • Save and preview.

That’s it! Hope my fellow bloggers appreciate the heads up. You can thank me by following this blog, following this blog's Twitter account, linking or just a simple thanks on the comments section.:)

Want a Google Plus Invite?

People are praising Google+ since it started more than a week ago. Others tagged it as the “Facebook Killer” and the “Grown up version of FB”.  I managed to get an invite and tried it. Since it’s new, I’m not yet accustomed to its features and settings, I can’t really give my opinion regarding which is cooler between Facebook and Google+, but sure thing is I’m not leaving the Social Network King. Not yet. Not even in the near future.

If you wanna try the awesome new innovation from Google, send an email to the ad found on my CONTACT tab. I’ll send an invite as soon as I can.

Ooops! Facebook is Down.
